Daesung proves once again why he's the original "trot idol." Sixteen years after his iconic hits, he returned with a new single and immediately sparked massive buzz.
On December 10 at 6 p.m., he released his latest single Limit Exceeded. The title track, also named Limit Exceeded, is a trot song that highlights Daesung's bright, playful charm.
The response was explosive. On release day, the track topped two of Korea's major trot charts—Melon and Bugs—surpassing longtime chart leader Lim Young Woong. It also ranked No.2 on Genie's trot chart.
Daesung reunited with G-DRAGON and Kush for this project, the trio's first trot collaboration since past hits like Look at Me, Gwisoon (2008) and It's a Big Hit! (2009). TWICE's Sana also appears in the music video.

His signature vocal color shines throughout the track, delivering powerful belts, clean phrasing, and flawless trot-style bends. His expressive gestures and comedic timing add to the fun.
Daesung's promotions were equally memorable. On December 9, he performed the new song on KBS-1TV's Morning Forum, writing afterward, "Energy limit exceeded from the morning!"
The album's B-sides showcase variety. A Single Rose brings a synth-rock twist to a love song, while I Guess I Suit Being Alone leans into R&B, capturing the quiet ache of heartbreak. Each track reflects Daesung's wit and personality.
Daesung will meet fans again at his Asia Tour This Wake encore concerts, held January 2–4, 2026, at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Seoul.
