ITZY's Yeji has gained major recognition in the UK, with her solo debut track earning a spot on NME's list of the best K-pop songs of the year.
British music magazine NME unveiled The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2025 on its official website, highlighting Yeji's solo debut "Air" among the selected tracks.
NME praised the release, calling Yeji's solo debut "one of the most satisfying surprises of 2025." The outlet noted how she leads the song with breath-tight tension over the beat, delivering emotions that intensify as the track builds toward its climax.
The song has also drawn attention in the United States. In July, "Air" was selected for The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2025 by Billboard, further cementing its global impact.
"Air" is a synth-pop track driven by an addictive hook. Yeji participated in writing the lyrics, while her distinctive movement and commanding performance completed the stage, proving her solo potential.
Meanwhile, ITZY recently released their new album TUNNEL VISION, drawing attention with powerful performances. The title track secured first-place trophies on music shows.
Their June release "Girls Will Be Girls" was also featured on Spotify's Best of K-POP ON! 2025 playlist.
ITZY will kick off their new world tour TUNNEL VISION in February 2026, opening with shows from February 13 to 15 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.
