ILLIT is continuing its rising momentum in Japan with a brand-new release.
The group will drop its second Japanese single, "Sunday Morning," on January 13. The track marks a bold step into J-pop rock, centering on the powerful energy of love and the fluttering excitement of a Sunday morning spent longing to meet someone special.
The song is already drawing attention for its short-form potential. Japanese artist Mega Shinnosuke participated in the production, known for his TikTok hit "Ai to Kimi" and strong popularity among Gen Z listeners.
"Sunday Morning" has also been selected as the opening theme for season two of the Japanese anime 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess. With its bright, upbeat melody, the song is expected to amplify the anime's lively atmosphere.
This comeback comes about four months after ILLIT's official Japan debut. The group released "Toki Yo Tomare" in September, landing on major charts including Oricon and Billboard Japan.
ILLIT is currently promoting its first single album NOT CUTE ANYMORE, actively appearing on music shows and variety programs while expanding its global presence.
