DK and Seungkwan of SEVENTEEN are returning with a winter release filled with emotional depth.
On December 17, the duo unveiled the trailer video for their first mini album "Soyagok" on the official YouTube channel. Titled "An Ordinary Love," the video presents two contrasting love stories, each unfolding in a different emotional direction.
DK portrays a relationship stuck in silence. He hesitates to hang up an unanswered phone call, while scenes of lovers sharing the same space yet looking away from each other highlight emotional distance. Withered plants and dried fruit serve as symbolic details reflecting a fading relationship.
Seungkwan appears as a part-time worker at a comic book store. When a customer leaves behind a purchased book, he follows after them. The recurring image of a comic titled "Blue," intercut with Seungkwan's expressions, heightens curiosity and subtle longing.
"Soyagok," meaning "a love song sung at night," captures various moments of love, including meeting, emotional stagnation, separation, and new beginnings. The album aims to draw listeners into deep emotional immersion through its delicate storytelling.
DK and Seungkwan will officially release "Soyagok" on January 12.
