G-DRAGON has once again been acknowledged for his global cultural impact.
On December 16, Hypebeast unveiled its "Hypebeast 100 for 2025," an annual list highlighting 100 figures who shaped culture across fashion, music, design, and beyond over the past year. G-DRAGON earned a spot on the list once again.
With this selection, G-DRAGON marks his ninth appearance on the Hypebeast 100, a record-setting achievement among K-pop artists. He stands alongside global icons such as Pharrell Williams, Travis Scott, and A$AP Rocky.
A Hypebeast representative stated that G-DRAGON demonstrated a singular presence throughout 2025, spanning music, art, fashion, and luxury. The publication noted that he continues to prove his status as a global cultural icon with influence that is very much ongoing.
Hypebeast also highlighted his studio album "Übermensch," which translates the philosophy of self-transcendence into music, as well as his worldwide "Übermensch" tour and his appearance on the APEC leaders' stage as symbolic milestones.
His wide-ranging brand collaborations drew further attention, including fine art projects centered on PEACEMINUSONE and partnerships with Jacob & Co. and Gentle Monster. According to the publication, G-DRAGON is actively reshaping contemporary culture by blurring the boundaries between pop culture and high-end luxury.
Meanwhile, G-DRAGON is set to appear at the Melon Music Awards, scheduled to take place on December 20 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
