Yuri of Girls' Generation has taken decisive legal action against an individual who impersonated her acquaintance and caused harm.

SM Entertainment announced that legal punishment, including a fine, has been finalized against the perpetrator who spread false information while claiming to be connected to Kwon Yuri, damaging her reputation. The agency confirmed that the ruling was officially concluded.

Yuri's side stated that, based on fan reports and constant monitoring, they are continuing legal action against malicious posts targeting her across platforms such as Instagram, X, and YouTube. Several related cases remain under investigation.

The agency emphasized a strict stance, stating there will be no leniency or settlements for any illegal acts that infringe upon the rights of their artists. SM Entertainment added that it will pursue all possible civil and criminal measures and continue to make every effort to protect its artists, urging the public to exercise caution to avoid legal consequences.

Meanwhile, Yuri is set to meet fans on January 24, 2026, at Yonsei University's Centennial Memorial Hall Concert Hall as part of her third fan meeting tour, "YURIVERSE."
