Singer and actor Hwang Minhyun has officially returned to fans, sharing his first greeting following his military discharge.
On December 21, Hwang Minhyun went live on Weverse, expressing sincere gratitude to fans who waited for him throughout his 1 year and 9 months of mandatory service. "Thank you to Hwangdo who waited for me," he said. "I don't think we'll ever be apart again, so I want us to do lots of fun things together."
Reflecting on his time away, he described the military hiatus as a meaningful chapter. "It was a time I truly needed," he shared. "It helped me grow, both as a person and as an artist."
He also spent time creating new memories with fans through various segments, including opening an advent calendar filled with small gifts and completing items on his to-do list.
Closing the broadcast, Hwang Minhyun promised, "I'll think carefully about how to give back. I'll do my best to make sure Hwangdo are filled with happy moments from now on."
Hwang Minhyun debuted in 2012 as a member of NU'EST, later gaining massive popularity through the project group Wanna One. Since then, he has built a solid all-rounder career spanning music and acting.
Earlier this year, he impressed viewers in the TVING series Study Group, portraying Yoon Ga-min, a character known for his unexpected combat skills.
Meanwhile, Hwang Minhyun is set to return to television on December 31 as an MC for the 2025 MBC Gayo Daejejeon.
