BTS shared their mindset ahead of their long-awaited full-group comeback, building anticipation by declaring that "2026 will be the year of BTS" and hinting that something major is on the way.
On December 21, BTS held a group live broadcast on the global fan community platform Weverse. J-Hope remarked that it was hard to believe how quickly 2025 had passed, setting a reflective tone for the conversation.
As the group prepares for their first comeback following the end of their military hiatus, the members expressed both excitement and impatience. They shared that they are eagerly waiting for next spring, admitting that the waiting period feels difficult but worthwhile as they look forward to reuniting with fans.
The live also featured lighthearted moments. RM joked that he wished their company, Big Hit Music, would show them a bit more affection. When Jin responded by asking whether the company hadn't already done enough, RM laughed and added that he simply hoped to be embraced a little more.
The members were candid about the challenges surrounding their upcoming album. They revealed that recording had been completed months ago, but the material went through numerous revisions, describing the process as long and demanding. Even so, they emphasized that the comeback is now very close, noting that although nothing has been officially released yet, they have been steadily working behind the scenes.
BTS is scheduled to make their full-group comeback in spring 2026. Following the release of their new album, they plan to embark on a world tour, reconnecting with ARMYs around the globe and marking a new chapter after their military hiatus.
