A Japanese woman has been booked by police for attempting to trespass into the home of Jung Kook of BTS.
According to the Seoul Yongsan Police Station, a Japanese woman in her 50s was booked on charges of attempted residential trespass. Authorities are also investigating the case under additional allegations related to violations of South Korea's anti-stalking law.
The woman is accused of pressing the door lock at Jung Kook's residence over several days last month in an apparent attempt to gain entry. As she is currently staying overseas, police have yet to conduct a formal interrogation.
This is not the first time Jung Kook has been subjected to invasions of privacy. In August, a Korean woman in her 40s illegally entered the parking area of his residence, a case that has since been handed over to prosecutors for further investigation.
A similar incident was also reported earlier this year, when a Chinese woman in her 30s was caught by police while attempting to enter Jung Kook's home. She later received a suspended indictment for attempted trespass.
Meanwhile, BTS is preparing for a full-group comeback scheduled for next spring.
