Jungkook of BTS wrapped up the year with a warm musical present for fans.
At midnight on December 24, Jungkook released a cover video of "The Christmas Song" via BTS's official SoundCloud and YouTube channels. The track is a reinterpretation of the version by American singer-songwriter Johnny Stimson.
An insider shared that the cover reflects Jungkook's desire to deliver warmth to ARMY. Jungkook personally filmed the video, singing in a cozy mid-to-low register against the backdrop of Seoul's night skyline.
"The Christmas Song" is a classic holiday staple originally released in 1946 by jazz vocalist Nat King Cole. Johnny Stimson reimagined the track in December 2020, and Jungkook has now infused it with his own emotional tone.
Jungkook has consistently impressed with cover performances, including Falling by Harry Styles, 10,000 Hours, Ending Scene, and Only Then.
Meanwhile, BTS has hinted at a new album set for release next spring. Recording has already been completed, with the group currently refining songs and choreography. Following the album launch, BTS plans to embark on a large-scale world tour to reunite with fans worldwide.
