Sunoo of ENHYPEN has been recognized for his meaningful contributions to promoting a culture of giving.
Sunoo attended the 20th Korea Social Contribution Awards ceremony on December 23 at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, where he received the Minister of Foreign Affairs Award.
The Korea Social Contribution Awards honor individuals who have made notable contributions across various sectors of society and are supported by ten government ministries.
Accepting the honor, Sunoo said he felt humbled to receive such a major award, noting that many others are more deserving. He shared that he began donating simply out of a desire to help others.
He added that the recognition has strengthened his sense of responsibility to be someone who can have a positive influence on society, pledging to continue sharing and giving without wavering.
Sunoo recently made two separate donations to Samsung Medical Center. The funds were used to support patient treatment costs as well as psychological and emotional care programs.
He has also contributed to disaster relief efforts. In March, he extended support to regions affected by large-scale wildfires, helping with recovery efforts and aid for displaced residents.
His actions sparked what fans have dubbed a "donation challenge," with ENGENEs voluntarily donating and sharing proof on social media after being inspired by his example.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN is set to release their seventh mini album, THE SIN: VANISH, on January 16 at 2 p.m.
