by. ymchoi

No Choice, directed by Park Chan-wook, has officially met North American audiences with a limited theatrical rollout in select U.S. cities.

Distributor Neon announced that the film is now screening in several theaters, praising it as "a masterful work of cinema." Along with the announcement, Neon unveiled a poster highlighting five release locations: Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.

Ahead of its full U.S. release scheduled for January, No Choice has opened in a small-scale run across 13 theaters in those five cities, according to a report by Deadline.

The early rollout is expected to boost the film's awards momentum. No Choice has earned nominations in three categories at the Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. It has also been shortlisted for Best International Feature Film at the Academy Awards.

No Choice is a signature Park Chan-wook survival drama, following an ordinary office worker who is suddenly laid off and launches his own desperate war to secure reemployment—turning everyday anxiety into a gripping cinematic battle.
