MBC's variety show Hangout with Yoo! continues its tradition of giving back, marking seven consecutive years of year-end donations to support vulnerable communities.
The program donated a total of KRW 306 million, raised from 2025 revenue generated through music releases, merchandise, and other spin-off projects. The cast and production team came together to ensure the proceeds were delivered as meaningful support.
Donations were distributed to 10 organizations across social welfare and medical fields, including shelters, children's hospitals, cancer foundations, and charities focused on food aid, disability support, and hearing-impaired assistance. The initiative reached institutions such as Anna's House, Community Chest of Korea, Milal Welfare Foundation, Severance Children's Hospital, Seoul National University Children's Hospital, and several others in need.
The production team shared that turning viewers' love into tangible acts of kindness made the year especially meaningful, adding that they aim to continue delivering laughter and warmth in the year ahead.
This marks the seventh year of continuous donations since 2019. Over time, Hangout with Yoo! has supported a wide range of causes, from free meal services and music talent sponsorships to international relief efforts, building a reputation as a variety show that actively gives back.
In 2025, the program also posted strong performance metrics, consistently ranking No. 1 among Saturday entertainment shows in the key 20–49 demographic and earning the Entertainment Program of the Year honor from the Korea Advertisers Association.
Notably, special projects such as the retro-themed 80s Seoul Music Festival—featuring Yoo Jae-suk's transformation into a producer—delivered standout ratings and buzz, setting a new personal best with a 7.3% metropolitan viewership peak.
Meanwhile, Hangout with Yoo! will air a special episode featuring the Insa-mo fan meeting on December 27, scheduled 10 minutes earlier than usual at 6:20 p.m. KST, continuing its year-end run with both humor and heart.
