ADOR Notifies Danielle of Contract Termination, Hanni Confirms Return While Minji Remains in Talks
by. ymchoi

ADOR has announced that a full-group reunion of NewJeans will not move forward. The agency confirmed it has formally notified Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract, while Hanni has agreed to return and Minji is still in discussions.

On December 29, ADOR released a statement outlining the status of three members. The agency said Hanni recently visited Korea with her family and held long, in-depth conversations with ADOR.

"Hanni took time to look back on past events and view the situation objectively," the agency stated. "She has decided to respect the court's ruling and continue working together with ADOR."

Minji has not yet finalized her decision. ADOR explained that discussions are ongoing, adding that both sides are continuing talks to broaden mutual understanding.

Danielle, however, will not be returning. ADOR said it determined that it would be difficult to continue with her as both a NewJeans member and an ADOR artist, and has therefore issued a notice of contract termination.

The agency further pointed to one of Danielle's family members and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, stating they bear significant responsibility for triggering the dispute and causing NewJeans' departure and delayed returns. ADOR added that it plans to pursue legal accountability.

ADOR also noted that it is currently in the process of resolving misunderstandings with the four remaining members. During discussions, the agency said it realized the members had, over a long period, been exposed to distorted and biased information, leading to substantial misunderstandings about the company.

"Even if it takes time, a process based on accurate facts is necessary to fully resolve these misunderstandings," ADOR said, adding that it will later address the various controversies that arose during the dispute, with timing and format still under discussion.

Meanwhile, the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Division 41 delivered its ruling on October 30 in the lawsuit confirming the validity of the exclusive contracts between ADOR and NewJeans, fully siding with ADOR. None of the issues raised by NewJeans were accepted by the court.

Following the ruling, Haerin and Hyein informed the agency last month of their intention to return, stating they would respect the court's decision.
