Singer Baekho greeted fans through a live radio broadcast on the day of his military enlistment.
Baekho enlisted on December 29 at the Nonsan Army Training Center, where he will serve as an active-duty soldier. On the morning of his enlistment, he appeared on MBC FM4U's Good Morning FM with Tei.
Speaking just hours before entering the military, Baekho personally addressed listeners and fans. DJ Tei remarked on his strong mindset, noting how impressive it was to continue broadcasting right up until enlistment day.
Baekho shared with a smile, "I said I wanted to fill everything up before leaving, and they really let me do that. I'm honestly so grateful. I'm happy I got one more chance to say goodbye."
He also spoke candidly about his state of mind. "I couldn't sleep well. It felt like I only slept halfway," he said. "Even while sleeping, I kept thinking I should sleep more deeply."
Adding humor, he said, "I'm not worried about the training. My only concern is that after training, I'll want to go home, shower, and sleep—but they won't let me go home," drawing laughter in the studio.
Reassuring fans, Baekho added, "I wanted to keep working right up until the morning, and I'm happy that I can go to the military like this, after properly saying goodbye."
No separate enlistment event is planned. His agency asked fans to continue sending warm support and love until his healthy return.
Baekho debuted in 2012 as a member of NU'EST. He later transitioned into a solo career, releasing songs such as "Elevator," while also expanding his activities into musicals and dramas.
