Yoo Jae-suk claimed the Grand Prize at the MBC Entertainment Awards, marking his 21st Daesang overall and his ninth from MBC.
The ceremony was held on December 29 at the MBC Media Center Public Hall in Sangam-dong, Seoul. Yoo Jae-suk was named both Entertainer of the Year and Grand Prize winner.
Taking the stage, he carefully called out the names of the production team and staff of How Do You Play?, expressing gratitude not only to current cast members but also to those who have since departed. He specifically thanked HaHa and Joo Woo-jae, and shared heartfelt words for former members Park Jin-joo, Mijoo, and Lee Yi-kyung.
"Winning a big award is an honor, but I'm especially grateful to the many production teams cheering from the audience even at this late hour," he said, acknowledging the staff who work behind the cameras. "Because of all of you, I've been able to stand here more than 20 times. I sincerely thank you."
Reflecting on his journey, Yoo added, "I received my first Grand Prize in 2005, and now my 21st in 2025. I'll try my best to reach 30. I hope everyone welcomes 2026 with good memories."

The awards ceremony was originally set to be hosted by Jun Hyun-moo, Jang Do-yeon, and Key, but proceeded with two hosts after Key stepped down. Jun Hyun-moo won Entertainer of the Year and offered an apology, saying he attended the ceremony with a heavy heart, while Kian84 shared words of encouragement.
Despite changes in its lineup, I Live Alone saw several members recognized, including Minho receiving the Multiplayer Award, Park Ji-hyun winning Popularity Award, and Ok Ja-yeon taking Best Entertainer.
The Viewer's Choice Program of the Year went to Rookie Director Kim Yeon-koung, which swept six trophies. Kim Yeon-koung credited the participants, saying the program reflects athletes who challenge themselves and grow together.
Other highlights included Top Excellence Awards for Kim Sook and Yoo Se-yoon, Excellence Awards for Shin Bong-sun, Koo Sung-hwan, and Dex, and the Achievement Award presented posthumously to Jun Yoo-sung, accepted on his behalf by Kim Shin-young.
