Actor Lee Jong-suk closed out the year with a meaningful act of giving. He donated a total of KRW 100 million to Seoul Asan Medical Center, allocating KRW 50 million to the hospital's development fund and another KRW 50 million to support patients from vulnerable backgrounds.
The donation will be used to help build advanced treatment systems for cancer patients at the hospital, as well as to cover medical and surgical expenses for underprivileged patients, contributing to improved treatment environments and access to care.
This marks the third consecutive year of Lee's support. In 2023, he donated KRW 100 million to Seoul Asan Medical Center's Children's Hospital, followed by another KRW 100 million the next year to aid children and patients in need.
Beyond hospital support, Lee Jong-suk has consistently extended help to various causes, including programs for youth preparing for independence, the Korean Medical Association, and international relief and development NGOs, personally seeking out areas where support is most needed each year.
Last March, he also donated KRW 100 million to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to assist residents affected by wildfires in Ulsan and the Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam regions, actively contributing to disaster recovery efforts.
Meanwhile, Lee is spending the year-end with fans through his Asia fan meeting tour "With: Just Like This." He is also set to return to the small screen next year with the Disney+ original series The Remarried Empress on Disney+.
