Actor Ahn Hyo-seop has donated KRW 50 million to help children in need around the world, continuing his steady commitment to global humanitarian causes.
According to the UNICEF Korea Committee, the donation will be used to provide humanitarian aid to children suffering from war, natural disasters, poverty, and disease across various regions worldwide.
The funds will also support emergency relief efforts for children facing life-threatening conditions during severe winter weather, as well as help ensure access to basic education for those in crisis situations.
Ahn has consistently practiced giving. Last year, he participated in the "UNICEF Team" campaign through talent donation and also made a KRW 50 million contribution in celebration of Children's Day, spreading positive influence through continued acts of generosity.
Jo Mi-jin, Secretary General of the UNICEF Korea Committee, expressed gratitude, saying that the heartfelt donation would bring warmth, comfort, and hope to marginalized children around the globe.
UNICEF is a United Nations agency and the only organization explicitly mandated under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child to promote and protect children's rights worldwide.
Meanwhile, Ahn Hyo-seop is set to return to the small screen next April through the SBS TV drama Today Is Also Sold Out.
