Singer and actress IU once again closed out the year with heartfelt giving, continuing her long-standing tradition of sharing warmth through meaningful donations.
On December 31, her agency EDAM Entertainment announced that IU donated a total of KRW 200 million under the name "IUAENA," a combination of IU and her official fandom UAENA.
The donation will be used to support various vulnerable groups, including single mothers, young adults preparing for independent living after leaving care, people with disabilities, and senior citizens. KRW 50 million each was delivered to the Korea Unwed Mothers Families Association, the National Center for the Rights of the Child, Love Snail, and the Wooyang Foundation.

The funds will help cover living and settlement costs for single mothers and care leavers, provide cochlear implant surgeries and hearing aids for people with hearing impairments, and support food assistance programs for elderly individuals at risk of missing meals during the winter.
IU has consistently donated under the name "IUAENA" on meaningful occasions such as her debut anniversary, birthday, and year-end holidays. Earlier this March, she contributed KRW 200 million to support victims of large-scale wildfires in the Gyeongsang region and to improve working conditions for firefighters. On Children's Day, she also donated KRW 150 million.
In addition, IU has previously donated KRW 200 million each on her birthday and debut anniversary to support underprivileged communities, reinforcing her reputation for steady and sincere philanthropy.
Meanwhile, IU is currently filming her next project, the MBC drama The 21st Century Grand Prince's Wife.
