Actor Shin Eun-kyung and comedian Lee Jin-ho have been listed as habitual high-amount delinquents for unpaid national health insurance premiums.
On December 30, the National Health Insurance Service released the personal details of 13,449 individuals who failed to pay large sums of mandatory social insurance contributions. Both Shin Eun-kyung and Lee Jin-ho were included on the list.
Shin Eun-kyung did not pay her national health insurance premiums for 78 months, spanning from February 2014 to October 2021. The total unpaid amount reached KRW 95.17 million. Lee Jin-ho was reported to have defaulted on nine months of payments between April and December 2023, with outstanding arrears totaling KRW 28.84 million.
Shin Eun-kyung most recently appeared in the SBS drama The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection in March last year and later featured on KBS2's Let's Live Together in August. She has not announced any new acting projects since.
Lee Jin-ho is currently on hiatus following multiple legal controversies, including illegal gambling and drunk driving. In April, he was referred to prosecutors without detention on habitual gambling charges. In September, he was also booked without detention for driving under the influence for approximately 100 kilometers from Incheon to Yangpyeong.
