Actress Nana is facing a counter-lawsuit from a man who previously broke into her home, despite authorities determining her actions constituted self-defense.

The suspect, identified as A, filed a complaint late last year accusing Nana of aggravated assault and attempted murder. He claims that the force she used while subduing him amounts to attempted homicide.

According to police findings, A broke into Nana's residence in Guri at around 6 a.m. on November 15 by climbing a ladder and entering through the balcony. Armed with a weapon, he demanded money. Nana overpowered him during a physical struggle and contacted the police.

Nana and her mother sustained injuries in the process, while A suffered a laceration to his jaw. Investigators concluded that Nana's actions fell under lawful self-defense pursuant to Article 21, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Act, noting that there was a real and imminent threat and that the defensive response did not cause excessive harm.

Despite this, A is asserting that Nana's actions constituted attempted murder.

Nana's agency Sublime dismissed the counterclaim as an attempt to defame the victim. The agency stated that the perpetrator is exploiting Nana's public profile to cause secondary harm through an inhumane act.

They added that the suspect's criminal actions have already been clearly established through the investigation, emphasizing that Nana and her family suffered severe physical and psychological trauma after being threatened with a weapon—effects that continue to this day.

The agency further stated that the suspect has shown no remorse and confirmed plans to pursue all available civil and criminal legal actions against him.
