Actor Jo In-sung is set to open the 2026 box office with refined, high-impact action.
Director Ryoo Seung-wan and Jo In-sung reunite once again, marking their third collaboration following Escape from Mogadishu and Smugglers. Their latest project, Humint, continues their strong creative synergy.
Humint unfolds in Vladivostok, a city where secrets and truths are buried beneath icy seas. The story centers on characters with conflicting agendas colliding in a tense, cold-blooded landscape.
Jo In-sung transforms into "Manager Jo," a black-ops agent from South Korea's National Intelligence Service. He described the script as "chilling yet filled with humanity," highlighting its balance between genre-driven tension and deep emotional resonance.
Dispatched to Vladivostok to trace signs of international crime, Manager Jo crosses paths with Chae Sun-hwa, a North Korean restaurant worker played by Shin Se-kyung. Jo In-sung is expected to deliver action scenes defined by precision, restraint, and elegance.

Director Ryoo praised the actor, saying he "fell completely for Jo In-sung's charm," citing his humility, confidence, relentless work ethic, and the fact that he memorized every line of the entire script.
Humint completes Ryoo Seung-wan's overseas location trilogy following The Berlin File and Escape from Mogadishu. Shot in Latvia, the film captures the distinctive atmosphere of Vladivostok while amplifying realism.
Featuring a strong ensemble cast including Park Jung-min, Park Hae-joon, and Shin Se-kyung, Humint is set to hit theaters on February 11.
