Netflix's Squid Game claimed its third honor at the Critics Choice Awards, continuing its winning streak across all seasons. At the 31st ceremony held in Santa Monica, the series took home Best Foreign Language Series (TV), beating out contenders including Acapulco and The Last Samurai Standing. With this win, Squid Game has now secured a trophy at the Critics Choice Awards for every season released to date.
Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters also enjoyed a standout night, winning Best Animated Feature. The film topped nominees such as Zootopia 2, Elio, In Your Dreams, and Arco. Its momentum continued with a second win for Best Song, awarded to the original track "Golden," earning the film a double crown.
Meanwhile, director Park Chan-wook's No Other Choice missed out on Best Foreign Language Film and Best Adapted Screenplay. The foreign-language prize went to The Secret Agent, while One Battle After Another's Paul Thomas Anderson took home the adapted screenplay award.
Hosted annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), the Critics Choice Awards honor outstanding achievements in film and television, recognizing the year's most acclaimed works across global screens.
