Singer Jeong Dong-won is set to return with new music before beginning his mandatory military service.
On January 5, his agency Showplay Entertainment announced that Jeong Dong-won will release a new mini album, Souvenir Vol. 2, across major music platforms on February 5. The album arrives about a year after his second full-length album A Tall Gift and serves as the follow-up to Souvenir Vol. 1, marking his second remake project.
Souvenir Vol. 2 reinterprets beloved classics spanning generations, including Byun Jin-sub's "To You Again," Cho Hang-jo's "Lie," Kim Kwang-seok's "Letter from a Private," and Kim Jung-soo's "You."
The album also features a brand-new track, "The Road Where We Meet Again Tomorrow After Crossing Today," a folk-style ballad offering quiet comfort to those feeling lost.
The agency described the release as "a gift prepared for fans," adding that it captures gratitude for the time shared and a promise toward the days ahead.
In addition to the album, Jeong Dong-won will meet fans in person at his solo fan concert on February 13 at KINTEX.
Jeong Dong-won is scheduled to enlist on February 23, entering the Republic of Korea Marine Corps training center. His expected discharge date is October 22 next year.
