Lee Hyun, leader of Baby DONT CRY, has been selected as the newest MC of Inkigayo, stepping into a major role on one of Korea's flagship music programs.
According to SBS, Lee Hyun will join the show's MC lineup alongside TWS's Shinyu and &TEAM's EJ, forming a three-MC system to lead the weekly broadcast.
Known for her stable vocals and strong stage presence, Lee Hyun has anchored Baby DONT CRY as both its leader and visual center. Even before her debut, she gained attention after appearing on Fantastic Duo as "Little IU," showcasing her early talent.
She debuted in June last year under P NATION, headed by PSY, and continued to build momentum with the release of the group's second single I Don't Care in November, highlighting a more mature musical direction.
Lee Hyun previously served as a special MC on Inkigayo in July and November, earning praise for her composed live hosting and quick, natural reactions. Her promotion to a fixed MC signals even broader activity on the show.
"I'm so happy and excited to become an MC on a music program I've dreamed of since before my debut," Lee Hyun shared. "My first TV appearance was on Fantastic Duo, so greeting viewers again on Inkigayo through SBS feels especially meaningful."
She added, "I sincerely thank the production team for trusting me with this opportunity. I'll carry that responsibility and do my best to deliver joyful energy every week to both viewers and artists."
Lee Hyun's first broadcast as a regular MC on Inkigayo will air live on January 11.
