BTS has added another major record to its global achievements, securing a new 500-million-stream track.
According to Spotify's latest data released on January 4, "Filter," a track from BTS's fourth full-length album "Map of the Soul: 7," has officially surpassed 500 million cumulative streams.
"Filter" is a solo song by Jimin. Using the layered meanings of its title—referring to perspectives and transformations—the track expresses a desire to reveal new and intriguing sides of oneself.
Upon release, the song entered the U.S. Billboard main singles chart "Billboard Hot 100" at No. 87 (dated March 7, 2020). The album itself topped the "Billboard 200" at No. 1.
BTS continues to dominate streaming platforms with an extensive list of hit songs. Their most-streamed track to date, "Dynamite," has exceeded 2 billion streams on Spotify. "My Universe," "Butter," "Boy With Luv," and "FAKE LOVE" have each surpassed 1.5 billion streams.
Meanwhile, BTS is set to return with its fifth full-length album on March 20 and will follow the release with a worldwide tour.
