Lee Won-min, former CEO of WM Entertainment, is launching a new K-pop agency.
The new company is MW Entertainment. After parting ways with RBW, where he had served as a major shareholder, Lee established MW Entertainment's headquarters in Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Since founding WM Entertainment in 2008, Lee has debuted a number of prominent K-pop acts, including B1A4, Oh My Girl, ONF, Lee Chae Yeon, and USPEER. He officially departed WM Entertainment in August last year.
MW Entertainment will position USPEER as its first flagship artist. The company has acquired the group's exclusive contracts and trademark rights from RBW and is currently preparing their comeback for the first half of this year.
In addition, MW Entertainment is planning the debut of a new boy group. Lee stated, "Building on 30 years of insight, experience, and expertise, I aim to take on a new challenge."
He added, "Please look forward to the birth of new K-pop stars who possess not only strong musical identity, but also outstanding skills and character, and who will lead the next wave of K-pop trends."
