Netflix has officially confirmed the production of its new series Beauty in the Beast, starring Kim Minju, Lomon, and Moon Sang-min.
Beauty in the Beast is a youth fantasy romance set on a university campus. The story follows a girl who transforms into a wolf, her senior at college, and a wolf boy, unfolding a chaotic yet heartfelt coming-of-age romance.
Kim Minju plays Min-su, a girl hiding a dangerous secret. She has spent her life suppressing her emotions to avoid turning into a wolf, eventually learning to adapt to society through strict self-control.
Lomon takes on the role of Do-ha, a wolf man with a bold, straight-ahead personality who acts on impulse. While he finds Min-su's restrained behavior frustrating, he gradually becomes more aware of her presence.
Moon Sang-min portrays Hae-jun, a university senior who typically shows little interest in others. However, Min-su—who behaves strangely only around him—begins to linger in his thoughts.
Direction is led by Jin Hyuk, known for his visually refined storytelling in works such as The Legend of the Blue Sea and Sisyphus: The Myth. The script is written by Jin Han-sae, recognized for sharp insight and originality through projects like Extracurricular and Glitch.
With a blend of fantasy, romance, and campus youth drama, Beauty in the Beast is set to deliver a fresh take on coming-of-age storytelling.
