Netflix series Squid Game Season 3 has earned a nomination at a major United States awards ceremony.
On January 8 (Korean time), the Screen Actors Guild Awards revealed the nominees for its 32nd edition, announcing candidates across 15 film and television categories.
Squid Game Season Three was nominated for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series, placing it among the top contenders in the television category.
It will compete against high-profile series including Andor, Landman, The Last of Us, and Stranger Things.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards, presented by the United States actors union, are widely regarded as a key precursor to the Academy Awards. Beginning this year, the ceremony officially adopts the shortened name "Actors Awards" in place of "SAG Awards."
The Squid Game franchise has a strong track record at this ceremony. In 2022, Season One made history when Lee Jung-jae won Best Actor in a Drama Series and Jung Ho-yeon took home Best Actress in a Drama Series.
Meanwhile, Squid Game Season Three recently claimed Best Foreign Language Series in the television category at the Critics Choice Awards, further cementing its global impact.
