ENHYPEN is expanding its vampire universe into animation.
HYBE announced on January 9 that the animated series Dark Moon: The Moon's Altar will premiere on January 10 and be broadcast across television and OTT platforms in more than 80 regions worldwide.
Dark Moon: The Moon's Altar is a HYBE original intellectual property created in collaboration with ENHYPEN. The series is based on the webtoon of the same name and follows the story of vampire boys, closely tied to ENHYPEN's ongoing musical narrative and universe.
The animation is co-produced by renowned Japanese studios Aniplex and TROYCA, with director Shiga Shoko at the helm. Popular Japanese voice actors, including Toya Kikunosuke, also take part in the project.
The series will first premiere in Japan at midnight on January 10 through four terrestrial channels, including Tokyo MX, as well as the streaming platform ABEMA. From January 13, it will also be available on major local OTT platforms.
In South Korea, Dark Moon: The Moon's Altar will air at 1:30 a.m. on January 10 via the animation-focused channel ANIBOX. Viewers can also watch it through major OTT services including TVING, Wavve, and Watcha, along with 12 television channels and IPTV services.
The series will also be released in North America and Europe. On Crunchyroll, the world's largest animation streaming service, it will be available with dubbing and subtitles in eight languages, including English, Spanish, French, and German.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN is set to release its seventh mini album, The Sin: Varnish, on January 16 at 2 p.m.
