CORTIS has earned nominations at a major U.S. music awards ceremony just four months after debut.
On January 9, the organizers of the iHeartRadio Music Awards announced the list of nominees. CORTIS was shortlisted in two categories: K-Pop Best New Artist and Favorite TikTok Dance.
Hosted by American digital radio platform iHeartRadio, the awards honor artists based on broadcast performance and app streaming data accumulated over the past year.
CORTIS is competing in the K-Pop Best New Artist category against peers including ALLDAY PROJECT, Hearts2Hearts, MEOVV, and 82MAJOR.
The intro track "Go!" from the debut album Color Outside the Lines was nominated for Favorite TikTok Dance, placing CORTIS alongside global pop stars such as Taylor Swift and Tate McRae.
Notably, CORTIS is the only K-Pop boy group nominated in the TikTok dance category. The nomination is driven by the viral success of the "Go!" challenge, which surpassed 210,000 TikTok videos as of January 9.
Earlier, Color Outside the Lines reached No. 15 on the Billboard 200 dated September 27 last year, marking the highest debut ranking ever achieved by a K-Pop group debut album excluding project teams.
