Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight has crossed its break-even point, proving the strength of its youthful romance led by Choo Young-woo and Shin Si-ah.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated box office system, the film surpassed 720,000 cumulative admissions as of 9:30 a.m. on January 9, its 17th day in theaters. It marks the first Korean film this year to recoup its production costs, reaching profitability amid ongoing concerns about the domestic film market.
Based on a novel by Japanese author Misaaki Ichijo, the story follows a girl whose memories reset every day and a boy determined to fill those lost moments with love.
Choo Young-woo stars as the male lead Jaewon, while Shin Si-ah plays Seoyoon, completing a tender, heart-fluttering coming-of-age romance. With 800,000 admissions within sight, the film continues its steady run at the box office.
