ALPHA DRIVE ONE has officially begun its journey.

The rookie boy group, also known as AD1, debuted just about 100 days after being formed through Mnet's survival show Boys II Planet. On January 12, the group held a showcase for its first mini album EUPHORIA at Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Yongsan, Seoul, where the members shared their debut emotions and future ambitions.

From the very start, the group made its determination clear. Rio said, "We prepared every single day without missing one, to show our very best." Gunwoo added, "We want to deliver positive energy and create a real phenomenon."

The name ALPHA DRIVE ONE reflects the meaning of "becoming one team and passionately racing toward the top." The eight-member lineup consists of Rio, Junseo, Arno, Gunwoo, Sangwon, Xinlong, Anshin, and Sanghyun.

Junseo shared, "I love the meaning behind our group name. It makes me feel like we have to keep running forward. We'll work hard so the name ALPHA DRIVE ONE can shine even brighter."

Following the broadcast, the members spent about three months building teamwork. Rio smiled as he said, "I suddenly gained seven brothers. My happiness and joy multiplied by seven." Sangwon recalled writing "AD1 Fighting" in the sand during their debut trailer shoot, adding, "That moment really strengthened our bond." Xinlong also reflected, "We constantly gave each other feedback to show better performances. That's when I truly felt we had become one team."

Their debut album EUPHORIA captures the emotions of beginnings and exhilaration. It tells the story of eight individuals, each walking their own path, coming together as one complete team.

The album includes six tracks: the title song "Freak Alarm," along with "Formula," "Raw Flame," "Chains," "Never Been to Heaven," and "Cinnamon Shake." Rio explained, "It's not just about the joy of debut. It also delivers empathy and encouragement to everyone pushing forward through intense battles with themselves."

Sangwon described the album's concept as "romantic energetic core," saying, "Even if we're not perfect, we want to show our own kind of romance as we endlessly run toward the top."

"Freak Alarm," a hip-hop dance track built on a heavy boom-bap beat, highlights both passion and teamwork. Gunwoo emphasized the refined performance, noting, "We worked hard to show powerful yet perfectly synchronized choreography." Sanghyun confidently pointed to the lyric "three seconds is enough," adding, "We want to capture the public's attention in just three seconds."

The b-side tracks reveal contrasting charms. Junseo recommended "Raw Flame" for its raw ambition, while also highlighting "Cinnamon Shake" as a sweet celebration song that invites fans to join in their debut moment.

At the showcase, the group performed "Formula" and "Freak Alarm." Although Arno was unable to participate in the choreography due to a recent fracture diagnosis, the stage still felt full. Sangwon and Rio anchored the performance, while Gunwoo, Junseo, and Xinlong impressed with stable live vocals. Sanghyun and Anshin delivered their killing parts flawlessly.

ALPHA DRIVE ONE has already left a strong impression, having performed the pre-release track "Formula" at major year-end award shows such as the MAMA Awards and Melon Music Awards. Anshin shared a hopeful goal, saying, "I want to stand on that stage again and win Rookie of the Year. It's a moment you only get once, and I want to experience it with our fans."

For this debut promotion, Gunwoo summed up their ambition: "We want to become a team the public can trust and enjoy watching."
