Korean American actress Arden Cho has taken home a major honor for her voice acting performance.
The Astra Film Awards took place on January 10 (local time) at the Sofitel Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. Arden Cho won the Best Voiceover Performance award for her role as Rumi in Netflix's animated film KPop Demon Hunters.
Through her portrayal of Rumi, Cho captivated global audiences with emotional depth and sincerity. Speaking on the red carpet, she shared that she wanted to express both authenticity and the character's youthful spirit through her voice alone.
She added that conveying emotions purely through voice acting was a challenge, calling the award "a result created by the entire team together," and described it as proof of the love and support sent by fans around the world.
Following the success of KPop Demon Hunters, Arden Cho is currently in discussions for future projects. She plans to continue global collaborations, working across both the U.S. and Korea.
The film achieved a triple win at the ceremony, earning Best Voiceover Performance, Best Animated Feature, and Best Original Soundtrack for the track "Golden."
Meanwhile, Arden Cho is set to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 13 alongside actor Ahn Hyo Seop.
