Voice actress Sun Eun-hye has passed away at the age of 40.
According to the Korean Voice Actors Association, Sun Eun-hye died on January 16. Her funeral was held at Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital, with the procession conducted on January 19.
She is survived by her husband, Choi Jae-ho, chairman of the Korean Voice Actors Association, and their son.
Fellow voice actors paid tribute following the news. Jung Sung-hoon shared condolences, while Chae Eui-jin wrote, "A beautiful junior—may Eun-hye rest in peace," reflecting the deep sense of loss within the community.
Sun Eun-hye debuted in 2011 as part of KBS's 36th open recruitment class of voice actors. She gained recognition through dubbing work in international series such as Doctor Who, My Girl, The Three Musketeers, and Song for You.
After transitioning to freelance work, she continued her career across numerous animated projects. Her notable credits include Black Rubber Shoes 4, How to Train Your Dragon, and Sofia the First.
Sun Eun-hye's final resting place has been arranged at Saesaram Retreat in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province.
