NCT WISH is stepping into the travel variety genre with a new global adventure series.

Ahead of its release, the production team of Mnet Plus's original K-pop travel variety On the Map shared the concept and key viewing points. The series follows K-pop idols as they travel abroad, complete hidden challenges across different locations, and gradually piece together a single map through their journey.

Season one stars NCT WISH. The production team explained, "They have a pure, positive energy. We felt they had many undiscovered charms and believed viewers would enjoy seeing them outside the usual variety show formula."

The destination for the first season is Mongolia. Producers noted that the country's iconic night sky full of stars resonated with the group's symbolic image. They added that the members themselves had named Mongolia as a dream travel destination during pre-interviews, which further solidified the choice.

The main highlight of the show is the bond between the members. Placed in unfamiliar environments, they naturally check in on one another, revealing sincere emotions and genuine teamwork. "You'll see NCT WISH in moments of healing," the team said, hinting at the group's unpolished, real-life chemistry.

The producers also teased an emotional finale, sharing that the final episode captures heartfelt conversations beneath a sky filled with stars. "We wanted to show limitless joy within a rugged journey. Please stay with them until the very end."

On the Map featuring NCT WISH consists of six episodes. New episodes will be released weekly, premiering on January 20 at 8 p.m. KST on Mnet Plus, followed by broadcast on Mnet on January 21 at 8 p.m.
