The film Gyeongju Trip has received multiple invitations from international film festivals.

On January 20, the Taegukgi Toscana Association announced the official selection lineup for the 24th Florence Korean Film Festival (Festival del Cinema Coreano di Firenze, FKFF). Gyeongju Trip, directed by Kim Mi-jo, was invited to the Korean Horizons section.

The Horizons section is a competitive category that showcases films presenting new perspectives in Korean cinema. Jang Eun-young, vice director of the Florence Korean Film Festival, praised the film for portraying the grief of losing a loved one through sharp humor. She added that Kim Mi-jo's direction gradually reveals hidden family conflicts within the narrative, resulting in a deeply personal and emotionally nuanced work.

The film had previously been invited to the 45th Hawaii International Film Festival, where organizers highlighted its sophisticated balance between dark humor and emotional intensity.

Gyeongju Trip is an action thriller that follows four women—a mother and her three daughters—who embark on a "killing" journey for their youngest daughter, Gyeongju, who never returned from a school trip.

The cast brings together trusted names. Lee Jung-eun plays the mother, Ok-sil, while Gong Hyo-jin, Park So-dam, and Lee Yeon portray the first, second, and third daughters, respectively.

The 24th Florence Korean Film Festival will take place from March 19 to 28 at La Compagnia Cinema in Florence, Italy.
