HYBE America is set to launch a next-generation global pop group in partnership with Netflix.
On January 21, HYBE America announced that it has teamed up with creator Alan Chikin Chow and Netflix to co-produce a scripted series.
Alan Chikin Chow runs the YouTube channel Alan's Universe, which boasts approximately 99.2 million subscribers. Through this collaboration, the partners will produce a Netflix series centered on idol trainees at an arts academy who come together to form a mixed-gender band.
Members of a brand-new pop group will appear in the series and officially launch their careers through the show. New music will also be released as part of the storyline, integrating the group's debut directly into the narrative.
Attention is already turning to whether another global success can follow in the footsteps of KATSEYE, which HYBE America debuted in 2024. Built on K-pop methodology, KATSEYE quickly rose to prominence, achieving major milestones on Billboard's main charts.
Alan Chikin Chow described the project as a groundbreaking collaboration that brings together the creative forces of HYBE America and Netflix to introduce a new pop group. He added that the series aims to deliver storytelling filled with creative inspiration and fun, inviting global audiences to tune in with high expectations.
Further details on the HYBE America–Alan Chikin Chow Netflix series will be revealed at a later date.
