The upcoming film Humint, directed by Ryoo Seung-wan, has officially entered its final countdown to release. A newly unveiled trailer raises anticipation with a sharp blend of espionage, action, and emotional stakes.
In the film, Shin Se-kyung takes on the role of Chae Seon-hwa, a North Korean restaurant worker secretly operating as a HUMINT agent. Her cover is compromised, plunging her character into immediate danger.
Jo In-sung stars as Jo, a black-ops agent from South Korea's National Intelligence Service, while Park Jeong-min portrays Park Geon of the North Korean Ministry of State Security. Park Hae-joon appears as Consul General Hwang Chi-seong, completing a tense triangle of conflicting motives.
As Chae Seon-hwa's true identity is exposed, the narrative escalates rapidly. Industry insiders describe the film's action sequences as delivering relentless pace and immersive intensity.
Set in Vladivostok, a city where secrets and truths alike sink into icy waters, Humint follows characters with sharply different goals colliding under extreme circumstances. The project marks the completion of Ryoo Seung-wan's overseas location trilogy, following The Berlin File (2013) and Escape from Mogadishu (2021). Filming took place in Latvia.
Humint is scheduled to hit theaters on February 11.
