Netflix has confirmed the release date for its new original film Pavane, starring Go Ah-sung, set to premiere on February 20.
Directed by Lee Jong-pil, Pavane tells the story of three young people who have closed off their hearts, only to become sources of light for one another. The film is adapted from the novel Pavane for a Dead Princess.
Go Ah-sung plays Mijeong, a woman who hides from uncomfortable gazes. Byun Yo-han portrays Yohan, a free-spirited soul, while Moon Sang-min takes on the role of Gyeongrok, a young man who has given up on his dreams.
The teaser poster and trailer were unveiled alongside the release announcement. The poster captures Mijeong and Gyeongrok sharing a kiss amid falling snow, hinting at a fairy-tale-like romance within a harsh reality. The tagline, "For you, who love and deserve to be loved," leaves a lingering impression.
The teaser follows three youths carrying different emotional wounds as they meet for the first time in a department store parking lot and slowly face love. Their evolving chemistry, friendship, and bittersweet romance promise warmth and quiet comfort.
Pavane will be available to stream on Netflix starting February 20.
