MISAMO, the Japan-based unit of TWICE, is making a comeback with its first Japanese full-length album.
MISAMO will release their debut studio album PLAY on February 4, marking the finale of a trilogy that began with their debut album and second mini album.
Ahead of the release, the trio has been rolling out a series of teaser contents. On January 26, they shared the PLAY highlight medley video via social media.
The roughly five-minute video features Japanese actor Takeru Satoh and unfolds as a fictional audition scenario. Each member takes the stage individually—Mina performs Turning Tables, Sana sings Ma Cherry, and Momo delivers Kitty.
Styled like a short theatrical piece, the story shows the members confronting strict judges attempting to impose penalties. The narrative ends with MISAMO's victory, as new tracks play in the background.
PLAY includes a total of 12 tracks, featuring individual solo songs alongside the title track Confetti, as well as Deep Eden and Hmm.
Formed in July 2023, MISAMO has released Masterpiece and HAUTE COUTURE, quickly building a strong presence in Japan. Beyond album releases, the unit successfully completed the 2024 dome tour HAUTE COUTURE, drawing a total of 250,000 attendees.
With the release of PLAY, MISAMO will officially kick off full-scale promotional activities.
