Disney+ original series Bloody Flower is drawing strong global interest even before its official premiere.
On January 29, the production team announced that Bloody Flower has secured multiple international broadcasting and streaming rights, expanding its reach beyond Disney+ to several major OTT platforms worldwide.
One of the key partners is Viu, Asia's leading OTT service. Through this deal, the series will be available in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and across the Middle East. In North America, K-content platform KOCOWA and OnDemandKorea have also finalized streaming agreements.
Additional contracts have been confirmed with Japan's U-NEXT, as well as platforms serving Taiwan, India, Vietnam, and Russia, signaling broad global demand.
A representative stated, "The series' intense premise and highly immersive performances have led to a surge of inquiries from overseas distributors, which are now translating into concrete sales results."
Bloody Flower is a mystery thriller built around the provocative question: What if the motive behind a serial killer's murders was the development of a cure for an incurable disease?
Ryeoun stars as Lee Woo-gyeom, a serial killer with extraordinary medical skills. Sung Dong-il plays Park Han-joon, a lawyer with a terminally ill daughter, while Geum Sae-rok takes on the role of prosecutor Cha Yi-yeon.
Bloody Flower is set to premiere on Disney+ on February 4.
