Actors Kang Hoon, Kim Hye-jun, and Cha Woo-min are set to star together in a new office romance drama.
On January 29, tvN confirmed the casting lineup for its upcoming series My Bias's Employee (written by Lee Young and Kim Ji-an, directed by Park Ji-hyun).
The drama is adapted from the Naver webtoon My Older Brother Is an Idol. It follows the story of a rookie employee who joins a company in hopes of meeting her "bias," only to find herself working as an employee of that very idol.
Kang Hoon plays Kang Ha-gi, the CEO of fashion startup Apello. Despite his cold exterior, he is warm-hearted, and his orderly life begins to shift after a new hire enters the picture.
Kim Hye-jun stars as Nam Da-reum, a rookie employee at Apello and an 11-year-long fan of an idol group member. Determined to see her favorite idol up close, she turns down a major corporation to join the startup.
Cha Woo-min takes on the role of Lee Chan, Da-reum's ultimate "bias" and a cultural icon. As an Apello director expanding his career beyond music, he unexpectedly comes face-to-face with one of his most devoted fans.
The production team said, "The tangled romance will awaken viewers' dating instincts," adding that the series aims to deliver laughter, empathy, and heartfelt moments through a variety of engaging elements.
My Bias's Employee is scheduled to premiere in the second half of the year.
