BLACKPINK Teases New Album Ahead of Full-Group Comeback on February 27
by. ymchoi

BLACKPINK is set to return as a full group with a new album after approximately three years and five months.

On January 30, BLACKPINK unveiled a concept teaser for its third mini album, DEADLINE, via its official Twitter account. The black-and-white visuals, accented with crystals and chains, signaled a cold and intense mood.

Recording has already been completed, and the music video was reportedly filmed in South Korea. The album will be released on February 27 at 2 p.m. KST.

BLACKPINK last released the single "JUMP" in July last year. Prior to that, the group dropped its second full-length album BORN PINK in September 2022. This marks their first album-scale release in about three years and five months.

YG Entertainment previously stated, "This comeback will serve as the grand finale of a journey shared with global fans, filled with laughter and tears," adding that the group plans to repay fans with highly polished music.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK kicked off its third world tour, DEADLINE, on January 26 at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong. The tour spans approximately seven months, covering 33 shows across 14 countries worldwide.
