Dream Concert 2026 in Hong Kong has been postponed indefinitely, just days before it was scheduled to take place. The event was originally set for February 6–7 at Kai Tak Stadium, but organizers confirmed the delay one week ahead of the show.
According to the Korea Entertainment Producers Association, the postponement stems from a unilateral notice issued by the Chinese organizer. An association official explained that the China-based partner, Changsha Liugu Cultural Heritage, posted an announcement delaying the concert without prior consultation or agreement with the Korean organizers.
The association stated that, despite no consent from the Korean side, they received an official notice of postponement from China, making it impossible to proceed with the event as scheduled.
The first lineup announcement had included ChenBaekXi, Hwasa, Taemin, The Boyz, and BamBam. Ticket sales had already opened on January 7, further amplifying confusion among fans and artists.
In an official statement, the association expressed regret, noting that the postponement was not due to any fault of the Korean organizers, yet acknowledging the inconvenience caused to audiences and performers. It added that discussions are underway to determine responsibility and to clarify the circumstances surrounding the unilateral decision.
The association also voiced disappointment, emphasizing that the concert was prepared with expectations of expanding cultural exchange between Korea and China. It pointed out that the postponement contradicts the original intent of promoting bilateral cultural collaboration and may be linked to broader issues affecting the cultural exchange environment.
Concluding the statement, the Korea Entertainment Producers Association pledged to prioritize responsibility toward audiences, artists, and the industry as a whole in responding to the situation.
