Ahn Young-mi has announced she is expecting her second child.
The broadcaster shared the news on her MBC FM4U radio show on February 2, saying it was finally time to say it out loud. She confirmed that she is currently in her second trimester and explained that she had kept quiet due to extra caution associated with a later-age pregnancy.
She also addressed recent rumors about her health, joking that misunderstandings sparked by a "Dubai chewy cookie" trend were frustrating, adding that she hoped her story could become a source of encouragement for others.
Details about the baby were revealed as well. The baby's nickname is "Ttakdongi," following her first child's nickname "Ttakkkongi." The due date is set for July, and the baby is a boy.
Speaking to listeners who are unsure about having another child, she admitted she struggled with the decision herself, worrying whether she could manage alongside her first child, but ultimately felt that now was the right time.
Ahn Young-mi married a non-celebrity office worker her age in 2020 and welcomed her first son in the United States in 2023.
