BTS will return to the spotlight with a landmark comeback performance in the heart of Seoul.

The group will hold BTS Comeback Live: Arirang on March 21 at 8 p.m. KST at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The event marks BTS's first live stage for their upcoming album, with their fifth full-length album Arirang set for release on March 20.

Gwanghwamun Square, one of Korea's most symbolic cultural landmarks, was chosen to unveil the new songs for the first time. The agency explained that debuting the stage in such a historic location adds special meaning to the comeback.

This appearance also recalls BTS's 2020 performance in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace's Geunjeongjeon Hall for NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The upcoming stage comes about five and a half years after that moment, signaling another major chapter in their journey. A representative described it as a "special moment that announces a new beginning."

The comeback stage will be livestreamed worldwide through a collaboration with Netflix, reaching viewers in 190 countries and regions in real time. This marks the first time an event held in Korea is broadcast live globally via Netflix, setting a new milestone in Korean cultural history.

BigHit Music said the title Arirang was chosen for its deep symbolic meaning, adding that the group wanted to present their first stage in a space that represents Korea.

In addition, the documentary film BTS: THE RETURN, which follows the production process of Arirang, will be released on Netflix on March 27.

The new album features a total of 14 tracks, exploring universal emotions such as identity, longing, and profound love.
