HUNTRIX is heading to the stage of the British Academy Film Awards. According to Variety, Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami will attend the BAFTA ceremony taking place on February 22 in London.
The three artists star as demon hunters and a K-pop girl group in Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters, where they performed multiple soundtrack songs, including "Golden." After receiving an invitation from BAFTA, they will appear as special celebration performers at this year's ceremony, delivering a live performance of "Golden" from the film's OST.
The trio shared that performing at BAFTA feels like a "golden moment" they could never have imagined in their childhood. They added that it is an honor to represent KPop Demon Hunters and share the film's positive message with fans around the world.
The decision is considered unusual, as BAFTA previously excluded KPop Demon Hunters from award consideration due to not meeting the UK theatrical release requirements. Despite this, the academy acknowledged the film's cultural impact. BAFTA executive Emma Bae commented that the project resonated globally, expressing anticipation that HUNTRIX's talented performers will bring K-pop energy to the ceremony for an unforgettable night of entertainment.
The BAFTA ceremony will be held on February 22 at London's Royal Festival Hall, with actor-director Alan Cumming serving as host.
