BTS is rolling out another large-scale cultural project, transforming Seoul into an immersive experience space.
On February 6, BigHit Music announced that "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL" will take place from March 20 to April 12. The event is designed to celebrate the release of BTS's fifth full-length album "ARIRANG."
The project combines music and media-based experiential content, spreading interactive installations across major areas of the city. On the album's release day, March 20, iconic landmarks such as Sungnyemun and N Seoul Tower will light up with large-scale media façades, blending tradition with the present.
The experience extends to Yeouido Hangang Park, where a lounge-style program will allow visitors to enjoy BTS's music by the river. Urban stone walls, stairways, and everyday city structures will also be reimagined as exhibition spaces.
BigHit Music explained that the project was curated to let both tourists and local citizens experience culture and art in a new way while celebrating BTS's comeback throughout the city.
Developed in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the event will also feature diverse partnerships, including food and beverage and mobility-related programs, expanding the citywide festival atmosphere.
BTS previously introduced "THE CITY" concept projects in Las Vegas and Busan in April and October 2022, respectively. The series is known as a city-style play park that merges music, space, and fan participation.
Detailed schedules for "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL" will be announced later via the global fan platform Weverse.
