Yoo Taeyang of SF9 will begin fulfilling his mandatory military service.

On February 6, FNC Entertainment announced that Yoo Taeyang recently applied for the military band and has received final acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration.

He will enlist on March 3. After completing basic military training at a boot camp, he will serve as a member of the military band. His enlistment will be conducted privately.

The agency explained that, as the enlistment day involves many service members, the time and location will not be disclosed, and no separate events are planned.

They added, "Yoo Taeyang is always grateful for the unwavering love from fans. Please continue to support him as he faithfully completes his service and returns in good health."

Yoo Taeyang debuted in 2016 as a member of SF9. In 2021, he expanded his career into musical theater with Altar Boyz, later appearing in productions such as Secretly, Greatly, Dream High, The Three Musketeers, and Salieri.

He is currently performing as Roger Davis in the musical Rent.
